SKUAST-K holds UET-2021 for UG programmes

Srinagar: SKUAST-Kashmir conducted its 9th UET-2021 at 36 centres across Jammu & Kashmir including Leh and Kargil, where one centre in each of the Districts were kept for facilitating 279 candidates of the Union Territory.
Besides three examination centres were kept at Jammu to facilitate the candidates of the region Jammu. The test was conducted for admission to various Under-graduate degree programmes viz. BVSc & AH, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agri. Engineering, Sericulture and Fisheries. In total 11554 candidates submitted their applications for the above programmes. As many as 93.59% of candidates have participated in the examination.
Prof. J.P.Sharma, Vice-Chancellor accompanied by Prof. Sarfaraz Ahmad Wani, Director Research, Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi, Director Extension, Prof. Gul Zaffar, Registrar, and Dr. K.N. Qaiser, Controller of Examinations visited examination centres to assess the proper arrangements in the Examination Centres followed by all SOPs under COVID-19.
For successful and smooth conduct of the test, the University had constituted different teams of observers under the supervision of the Chief Observers of the rank of Officers of the University for smooth and transparent conduct of the UET-2021. Medical facilities and other required arrangements were also put in place. Chief Medical Officer/ Nodal Officer CoVID-19 along with Public Relations Officer (Nodal Officer COVID-19) visited all the centres to ensure proper SoPs under COVID-19. Team of Doctors from Health Department UT of J&K also inspected the examination centres for proper SoP under COVID 19. University administration under the overall supervision of Prof. J.P.Sharma Vice-Chancellor thanked the District Administration, media personnel, police department who helped in making the big event of SKUAST-Kashmir a success.
