SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir in collaboration with Chinar International Srinagar today organised a day long ‘Professional Development Programme’ for teachers.
As many as 30 teachers from 30 Model Schools of district Ganderbal, Budgam and Srinagar participated in the programme.
The Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. Tassaduq Husain Mir who was also the Chief Gueston the occasion said that continuous professional development of teachers is an indispensable exercise which enables the teachers to upgrade their professional skills.
He said that Covid- 19 has posed several challenges before teachers and such programmes will surely help the them to bridge the teaching-learning gaps developed due to prolonged Covid-19 lockdown.
Rubina Majid, the CEO of Learning Resource Centre Hyderabad (Teacher Trainer) in her hour long presentation said that continuous professional development of teachers in present times works as catalyst for achieving desired learning outcomes in the class room.
She gave a detailed presentation on teaching learning techniques and also attended to the queries raised by teachers during the programme.
Earlier Chief Education Officer, Manzoor Ahmad welcomed the guest speakers and the participants for being the part of the programme.
Deputy Chief Education Officer Srinagar, Raja Anjum reiterated the importance of implementation of new trends and techniques in classrooms.
The Programme ended with the vote of thanks presented by Nusrat Bukhari Principal Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh.
The programme was also attended by OSD Cultural Education Wing DSEK Syed Mansoor Ahmad Qadri and Qaiser Ahmad Educational Consultant Chinar International Srinagar.
