NCCHWO, CWC extend support to Covid victims; distribute ration among affected families

JAMMU: National Corruption Control and Human Welfare Organization (NCCHWO), has initiated a slew of measures to extend the much needed support to the victims of Covid-19, global pandemic that has shaken numerous lives across the world.
In this regard, NCCHWO today handed ration stock to Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for distribution among the families affected by Covid-19.
The organization, in its effort to extend possible support to people in distress due to the brunt of prevailing epidemic, sought list of the families who lost their sole earning member due to Covid from the Chairperson CWC so that these victims of the virus are provided basic things requisite for survival. Although, the government has kept several provisions for providing every help to the Covid affected people but it is a very small step on our part to distribute ration and other necessities to the needy”, maintained a representative of NCCHWO.
The members of NCCHWO collaborated with Rotary Club Jammu Elite and Rotary Club, Jammu Tawi to provide help to these families. The organization would continue to extend such support to the Covid affected people till these families start getting the sanctioned aid from the government on this account. NCCHWO also ensured home delivery of ration to these affected families.
The organization handed over ration packets to Shalini Sharma, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, for distribution among the remaining families.
Meanwhile, various NGOs have also shown willingness to adopt these families for helping out them in this challenging time.
Brigadier Harcharan Singh said that our society is very prompt to help and support the needy children in distress. Rotary Club Jammu Tawi was represented by the President, Mr Raman Wazir and Secretary, Mr Ramnik Singh, besides others. Rotary Club Elite was represented by Ms Meena Jaggi, Nidhi Mahajen and Paramjit Kaur.
The contribution from NCCHWO team was made by Giat Nandan Jain, Ankush Gupta and Advocate Supriya Singh. The conduct of event and presentation of vote of thanks was done by Ms Pooja Malhotra.
The event was concluded with plantation of trees to highlight the problem of Global warming, degradation of environment and Water crisis. More trees will be planted in future to encourage Afforestation.
