Reiterates to continue following CAB
KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today said that COVID recovery rate in district Kupwara has gone up to 98.49 percent, which is a sign of satisfaction.
The DC was addressing a presser in his office chamber, here today.
Giving details, the DC said that 80.03 percent people of above 45 year age and 23.77 percent of 18 to 44 year age group have been vaccinated till date. He said the positivity rate has declined to 0.29 percent while recovery rate has gone up to 98.49 percent which is a sign of satisfaction for the district.
He said the district has currently 46 active cases, adding that only 3 patients are admitted in hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated his appeal to the people of the district to continuously follow the Covid appropriate behaviour (CAB) and other SOPs. He appealed to the people to come forward and administer Covid vaccine at nearby vaccination centers for their safety against the pandemic to achieve the target in full. He said people should be more responsive in keeping the covid at bay by using masks and maintaining distance.
