LANGATE: The 2nd District Soft Tennis Championship 2021-22 organized by the Kupwara District Soft Tennis Association under the banner of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association and in collaboration with J&K Sports Council concluded here in Govt Hr. Sec. School Boys Handwara on 17th July.
The championship was played singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles both boys/girls and men/women categories ( Sub Junior, Junior and Senior).
The championship was witnessed by a large number of spectators, school going childrens, non students with great enthusiasm.
Najmeen Sofi and Mudasir Mir Secretary Kupwara District Soft Tennis Association with other office bearers of the district Tennis Association conducted the 2nd District Championship with great success and was appreciated her work by the chief guest Mir Suliman, Chairman DDC Kupwara who also gave away the prizes to the players who performed best during the participation. Mir Suliman, Chairman DDC Kupwara also announced that Soft Tennis Court shall be constructed in Bhakehaker Rajwar Handwara for proper coaching of players of far flag areas of district Kupwara. The Chief Guest also encouraged the players and said that physical education is a proper way for physical and mental health.
Speaking on the occasion general secretary J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association Dr. Gh Hassan, said that Soft Tennis is a recognized discipline and the Sports Certificate on National level will help the players for admission in various professional courses under Sports category. The championship was concluded on 17-07-2021 in a peaceful atmosphere. The other office bearers of JKASTA was also present.
