SRINAGAR: Shaheen FC Jammu in a one-sided affair beat Kashmir Avaengers FC by 2-0 goals in their match of Professional League Football Tournament played at TRC ground here on Wednesday.
In the first half of the match both teams played attacking football and made several moves from both the flanks to find the net. It was in the 10th minute of the game that Macdonald of Shaheen Sports FC took the advantage of the mistake of one of the defenders of Kashmir Avengers and scored an easy goal.
Shaheen FC Jammu was awarded a penalty kick for the rough tackling by one of the defenders in the penalty area. Mac donald made no mistake in converting the penalty kick.
In the second half of the match Kashmir Avaengers FC made many attempts to find the net but failed to penetrate the strong defence of Shaheen FC.
The match ended with Shaheen Fc defeating Kashmir Avengers FC by 2:0. Mac donald of Shaheen FC was declared as the man of the match. The Tournament is organized by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
