Srinagar: Commissioner SMC Athar Aamir on Tuesday held a weekly review meeting with the Planning Wing and Works Division of the corporation under different account heads.
Meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner Administration SMC, Joint Commissioner Works, FA/ CAO, S.E Drainage, ADP, Executive engineers of Right River works and left RiverWorks, officials from Planning wing , and other officials.
During the course of the meeting , the Commissioner stressed on timely completion of works and strictly directed the concerned to maintain quality of works including lanes, drains and tile works etc.
While reviewing various works of each sub division, Athar said Quality audit of works is in progress including the completed works needs to be conducted.
He also reviewed Head wise Physical/ Financial status of works including city drainage division and passed on directions to expedite with all the works that are in place and meet the deadlines already set for completion of various works..
While reviewing the planning wing he said that the Building permission process should not halt at any stage and directed the officials to have timely disposal of files at each stage.
While reviewing the status of issuance of Building permissions, clearance of backlogs and the number of fresh cases in process including the revenue generation, Commissioner SMC said that a quick disposal whether approved or rejected has to be done.
