CUK VC inaugurates 5-day training prog for admn staff

Ganderbal: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir Monday inaugurated the 5-day online workshop cum training programme for the administrative staff of the university at Green Campus here.
Chairperson EHDAC, Ms Madhuri Sahasrabudhe, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Finance Officer, Prof. Fayaz A Nikka, senior functionaries of the university attended the inaugural event of the programme organised by varsity’s Centre for Capacity Development of Administrative Staff (CCDAS).
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din in his address described the administrative staff as the backbone of the university set up and underscored the need of conducting frequent capacity building and training programmes for their holistic and overall development. “The administrative staff plays a pivotal role and contributes immensely towards the growth and progress of the university on all fronts,” Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir said.
Addressing the administrative staff, Chairperson EHDAC, Ms Madhuri Sahasrabudhe, asked them to do continuous self-assessment, identify the weakness, and address it accordingly. She asked the employees to work with utmost dedication, commitment, honesty and ensure punctuality so that the university would become a higher educational institution par excellence in the Jammu and Kashmir
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, asked the participants to enhance their capacities and capabilities to give the best to the institution. “The training programme would further strengthen their abilities which would have direct bearing on the delivery and functioning of the varsity in all aspects,” Prof. Zargar said adding that these programmes are imperative to upgrade the knowledge and working capacity of the employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Finance Officer, Prof. Fayaz A Nikka, asked the participants to constantly interact with the experts in order to imbibe more during the programme. He asked the participants to hone their skills during the workshop and gain knowledge from the experiences of the experts, who will deliver lectures on diverse topics related to the administrative functioning.
Welcoming the guests and participants, Hindi Adhikari and Officer I/c CCDAS, Dr. Sakina Akhter, gave details about the programme schedule and issues to be discussed during the five-day programme. She further elaborated that the aim of organizing the programme was to sensitize the staff about different administrative issues. Deputy Registrar, Abdul Rashid proposed the vote of thanks.
