Student commits suicide in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: A student allegedly committed suicide in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
A 26 years old student of 1st year class was found hanging inside his room in Wagoora area of Baramulla on Wednesday morning. Family sources said that they knocked on his door on Wednesday morning but there was no response from his side, later they broke the door and found their son hanging inside the room. Later they shifted him to a nearby hospital and also passed its information to police.
Police took the body into their custody and after legal formalities handed it over to the family for last rites.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in police station Kreeri and further investigation is going on.
“We handed over the body to family after all legal formalities, and investigation is on, however it yet not clear why he took such extreme step in which he lost his life,” officials said
This is third such incident in the district from past three days, earlier two ladies one from Rafiabad and one from Sopore area tried to commit suicide, which were later hospitalised.
