Narco-militant module busted in Baramulla, 10 arrested: Police

BARAMULLA: Baramulla police on Saturday claimed to have busted a narco militant module in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and arrested 10 people along with large quantity of arms, ammunition ,drugs besides cash from their possession.
Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat along with DSP headquarters and other officials in a press conference at police lines Baramulla on Saturday said that security forces including Jammu and Kashmir police, Army and CRPF busted a big narco terror module in operating in JK and seized drugs around 30 crore in black market, 04 pistols, 10 grenades its four magazines, and 20 rounds, Indian currency approximately 21 laks. A truck, a two wheeler, a car besides some cheques etc from their possession.
The police identity the arrested persons as Sharafat Khan son of Lal Badshah of Kupwara, Sajad Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Anzar Shah of Lalpora Kupwara, Shahid Ahmad Rather son of Wali Mohammad Rather of Tangmarg Baramulla, Riyaz Ahmad Hajam son of Ali Mohammad Hajam of Budgam, Adil Ahmad son of Bashir Ahmad of Budgam, Angraz Singh son of Harjeet Singh of Amritsar Punjab, Raman son of Prem of Firozpur Punjab, Rohit son of Gopal Chand of Firozpur Punjab, Krishan son of Vijay Kumar of Firozpur Punjab, Faiz Ahmad Khan son of Ashraf Khan of Karan Kupwara. Further investigation is on, police added.
