SRINAGAR: A 40-year-old man was mauled to death by a wild bear while grazing his domestic animals at Ladermad forests in the central Kashmiri Budgam district.
Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Block officer from the Wildlife Control Chadoora confirmed death of Muhammad Ramzan Chopan son of Abdul Aziz Chopan, age 40 of Boniyar Surasyar area of the Choorda tehsil.
“He was grazing the domestic animals at the Ladermad forests in the area where the incident took place, ” Bhat said.
He said that we have informed the concerned Police Station carry out postmortem of the dead body to ascertain the cause of his death for medico legal purposes
“We have also told the police to issue the death certificate in favor of the victim’s family. So, the family can receive the compensation, ” He said.
