BARAMULLA: A black bear has created panic among the local people in Sarai village of Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday morning. Reports said that a back bear was seen roaming in the village Sarai in Tangmarg subdivision of Baramulla district Sunday morning, due to which the local population panicked.
They said it is not the first time when black bears or leopards have entered the village but on Sunday a black was roaming freely in broad daylight which is a threat for the people working in their fields.
Similarly, the people of several villages of Baramulla including Shirwani Colony, Frasthar, Chandosa, and its surrounding areas said that several leopards are roaming in their localities due to which people have become apprehensive about venturing out. They appealed to the authorities of the wildlife department to take serious steps and catch the beasts before they can take a precious life.
