Pampore: Men at Mian Gases Plant located at Khanmoh Industrial Estate have been tirelessly working to ramp up the supply of oxygen to not let any shortfall emerge for those treating covid patients in valley hospitals.
“We are the unnoticed Covid warriors and all our staff and workers are on job to manufacture and supply oxygen to reputed hospitals of the valley to ensure the patients there get a constant supply, said Abdul Hameed Manager at the facility.
Adding that we have been generating around 500 oxygen cylinders a day from this plant for supply to different hospitals in Kashmir, including two top hospitals SHMS and SKIMS.
He added that for producing this quantity of oxygen on a war footing basis, all employees have volunteered to work round the clock forgetting to visit their families even on the Eid recently.
“Everyone is aware of the crisis and we don’t want that Covid patients in Kashmir to die for want of oxygen and that is why we work round the clock even without taking any break,” said the employees at the facility.
Hameed said that all oxygen gas plants in Kashmir are working 24 hours only with the motive to save lives of people. Though many people were not aware of your job , the crisis has brought us to limelight and many are praising our work too.
Zubair Ahmad, Ex. President Industrial Estate Khonmoh said that these Units are doing a commendable job in this pandemic.
“Today, we are realising the significance and importance of such plants and the Industries department too has played their part for facilitating such units here, that are now proving helpful,” he said.
