Forces carry out searches in 4 Shopian villages

Shopian: Government forces on Sunday carried out a cordon and search operation at four villages of south Kashmir’s Shopian.
Police sources said that search operations were carried out after the forces got inputs about the presence of militants in the villages.
Locals from Pinjora told Kashmir Reader that forces arrived in the village and laid a siege around Boni-Bag locality of the village. They said that within minutes reinforcement was called.
A similar search operation was launched by a joint team of government forces at Pudsoo village of the district where multiple residential houses and other structures were searched by the forces. However, no trace of militants was found in the village.
Locals from Kashiv village in Zainpora sub district area said that forces also carried out searches in the village for a couple of hours. They said that several structures including residential houses were searched. However, nothing was found in the village.
In the fourth forces operation, government forces carried out searches at Turkwangam where an IED was destroyed by the forces.
