PAMPORE: The body of mentally challenged Covid positive has been identified as resident of Kalakote Rajouri by his family members, with it being buried here at Pampore under the supervision of Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din along with other officials also present.
Earlier, nobody had claimed the dead body and the local administration had decided to perform his last rites following proper SOPs after four in the evening.
According to family the person has been a mentally challenged person and had left home a fortnight back and they could not trace him because of Covid 19 lock down.
“ We identified the dead body after it got viral on social media,” he said that they requested to carry out the burial as they would not be able to reach Kalakote amid lock down.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din supervised the funeral and last ries along with revenue official Mir Murrawat Hussain and three family members.
