Mutton shop sealed after owner tests positive in Tral

TRAL: A mutton shop was sealed in Sub division Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after its owner tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday.
A butcher tested COVID-19 positive in Tral town and his shop was sealed by police, officials said. He said that they had collected samples of shopkeepers a few days ago.
“The test results of the butcher returned positive today,” they said.The butcher’s shop was sealed by police and was advised by health officials to undergo isolation.
His contacts were asked to conduct testing.
DSP Tral, Aijaz Ahmad, said that he had recommended to BMO concerned to conduct random sampling of essential service providers in the town.
” It was after random sampling that he turned positive,” he said, adding that this exercise will check corona positive persons from providing essential services and acting as super spreaders.
The police officer said that they will take appropriate action as warranted under law against persons who conceal their positive status and roam freely in the society.
