49 villages declared as containment zones in Pulwama district

PAMPORE: In view of spike in the Covid-19 positive cases in the district, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary notified 49 villages in Pulwama as containment zones for containing further spread of CoronaVirus Infection.
The containment zones in Pampore, Tral, Awantipora, Kakapora, Rajpora and Pulwama. The villages were notified vide order number DCP/PA/21/1040 dated 05-05-2021.
“Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhry, IAS, District Magistrate Pulwama in exercise of powers vested in me under section 144 of Cr.Pc section 34 of National Disaster Management act 2005 and section 3 of the epidemic diseases act, 1897, declare these villages as containment zones and there shall be no inward or outward movement of any person from these areas and people shall stay at their homes and there shall be a lockdown in these areas,” the order areas.
According to the order, among the notified villages 12 containment zones fall in Pampore Tehsil including Drangbal, Frestabal, Konibal, Ladhoo, Meej, Namblabal, Patalbagh, Samboora, Shar Shali, Tulbagh and Wuyan village. 12 In Tral including Amlar , Batagund, Batnoor, Buchoo, Chandrigam, Dadsara, Neibugh, Nowdal, Panner, Pinglish, Sharefabad and Tral. Six containment zones in Awantipora area and 19 containment zones in Rajpora Tehsil and Pulwama areas. Apart from these, corona restrictions will remain in place for Pulwama. “Corona Curfew restrictions in Pulwama will continue till further order with the existing level of measures which are in place since 28 April,” DC Pulwama Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary said in a tweet.
