Forest employee injured in bear attack at Tangmarg

BARAMULLA: An employee of the forest department was attacked and injured by a black bear in Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.
Officials in the department said that Mohammad Sultan Magray son of Abdul Rehman Magray resident of Panditpora was attacked by a black bear in Zandpal area on Monday morning, some local people nearby reached the spot and chased the beast. The injured was shifted to sub district hospital Tangmarg, from where he was shifted to SKIMS for advance treatment.
Range officer wildlife department Naseer Ahmad Rawa confirmed that an employee of the department was injured in bear attack, who has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
