Pampore: PAMPORE: Chairman Municipal Committee Pampore, Malik Mohammad Yaqoob held a meeting with different members of civil society at Townhall Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The meeting was attended by President of Fallah Behbood Committee Pampore Bashir Ahmad Bhat, General Secretary Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore Mohammad Sultan Shah, Civil Society head, Mohammad Yousuf Malik, Assistant Engineer R&B, Revenue official, Mir Murawat Hussain, Corporators and other municipal Committee officials.
Talking To Kashmir Reader Chairman Municipal Committee Pampore Malik Yaqoob Said:
” The meeting was held to inform the members that a plethora a developmental activities are going to be initiated in Pampore including construction of a shopping complex, gymnasium, marriage hall, parks, clock towers and macadamisation of various roads.
Malik was accompanied by various officials of R&B and the Revenue department.
He told Kashmir Reader during the meeting they identified the land and a DPR will be prepared by R and B very soon.
Later on they visited the spot where land has been identified.
The land for marriage hall was identified near Eid Gah Drangbal while land for
Slaughter house, Taxi stand and Shopping Complex was identified in Drangbal area, Children Park near Khrew Chowk and two Clock towers, one in Kadlabal and another in Drangbal.
“Government has promised me that a number of projects mentioned above will be taken up in Pampore,” he said.
He said that soon they will float tenders for the projects and start the work in coming days.
He thanked Commissioner secretary Housing body, Dhiraj Gupta and Director Local bodies, Riyaz Ahmad for their support.
