IGNOU established study centre at border town Uri

BARAMULLA: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has established a study centre for the people in border town Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Principal Government Degree College (GDC) Uri Tariq Ahmad Chalkoo said that there was a study centre in district headquarter at GDC Baramulla, but it so difficult to the people of border villages to go to Baramulla for studies, due to which large number of candidates could not continue their studies. He said now they established a study centre at GDC Uri where candidates from Uri and others who are living very close to LoC could continue their studies through the centre.
He said they will provide all courses to the candidates of this far flung area and candidates are requested to take benefits from the centre.
