PAMPORE: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated its 31st raising day here on by organising a series of functions.
The function was held at 110 Battalion CRPF headquarter, Lethpora Pampore. Unit was raised on 8th April 1991 at GC CRPF Pallipuram, Trivandrum, Kerala. The Unit is deployed at Lethpora area of Pampore in, South Kashmir’s Pulwama district since 2007, Commandant Yogesh Purohit told Kashmir Reader.
The day began with paying homage to those slain from the unit in service of the nation.
Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 battalion greeted the Officers, Subordinate offices and Jawans and their families on the occasion through a special Sainik Sammelan
Recreational activities, inter-company Badminton competition, Volleyball competition, drawing competition was held on the eve of the day. On Thursday evening Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 battalion handed over the prizes to the winning and runner up teams.
A cultural programme was organized where Hilal Firoz, Commandant 130 battalion and SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf, Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din graced the function as guest of honour, other dignitaries from CRPF, Police and administration also graced the occasion.
All programmes was organised keeping in mind all guidelines/ protocols of Covid-19 Pandemic.
