Two more mini containment zones declared in Pampore, Nodal officer appeals for following SOP’s

PAMPORE: Two more mini Containment zones have been declared in Pampore town on Friday.
The Containment zones were declared in Kadlabal and Namblabal areas of Pampore.
A team of health department and revenue department Pampore on Friday visited the containment zones in Kadlabal and Meenagh area. The team members installed banners warning people not to enter the containment zones.
The mini Containment zones include Wani Mohalla Kadlabal and Meebagh Namblabal areas of the Saffron town, officials told Kashmir Reader.
The authorities had earlier declared two mini Containment zones in Kadlabal area of the town a day ago.
Dr Mohammad Ashraf, Nodal officer for COVID -19 Block Pampore, told Kashmir Reader that a number of positive cases have been increasing in the Saffron town.
” For the past two days we have declared four mini Containment zones in Saffron town Pampore, i think ignorance of people with respect to observing social distance and wearing masks is the main reason,” he said, adding that each day they report around 30 patients per 200 samples.
“Earlier we used to report 30 patients per 400 samples,” he told Kashmir Reader.
He added that the majority of patients present no significant symptoms and they roam around freely spreading the infection.
He appealed to people to follow SOPs.
“People who are eligible (age 45) should come to Sub District Hospital Pampore for getting vaccine shots,”.
