Delegations from Pampore call on DC Pulwama, raise issues

Awantipora: A number of delegations from the Pampore area of South Kashmir called on Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary at his office Pulwama on Saturday.
The delegations included members from Gujjar and Bakerwal Conference , Saffron Growers Associationand members of stone quarry association.
The delegations congratulated him for assuming charge as Deputy Commissioner Pulwama.
The Gujjar and Bakerwal Conference was led by General Secretary Choudhary Mohammad Yaseen Poswal , Saffron Growers Association by President Abdul Majeed Wani.
The delegation brought issue of ban on stone quarries in Pampore area and how it has been affecting their livelihood.
The saffron growers association president Abdul Majeed Wani raised the issue of conversion of saffron land.
The delegates raised other issues concerning Gujjar Bakerwal Community. The Deputy Commissioner Pulwama gave them a patient hearing and assured them to seek a solution.
Talking to Kashmir Reader Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer-Ul Haq Choudhary told that the delegations raised the various issues including the ban on stone quarries which has affected their livelihood.
He added that the also sought to stop conversion of the saffron land.
” I asked them to give me some time to analyse the issues,” The Deputy Commissioner said, adding that the administration will strive to help people in resolving their grievances for creating a conducive environment.
