Awantipora: Senior Superintendent of Police Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf (JKPS) held an introductory meeting with the media fraternity of Police District Awantipora on Saturday.
The meeting was held in the office chamber of SSP Awantipora in which SDPO Awantipora and media persons associated with different print and electronic media participated.
In the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on several issues and all the participants called for further strengthening the relations between police and media.
SSP Awantipora assured the media person that all the issues discussed in the meeting will be taken care of at the earliest. The SSP sought feedback from the media persons on the issues pertaining to police working in the district so as to improve police efficiency for better public delivery system. He also enjoined upon media persons to imbibe professional value and be committed to welfare of public cause.
SSP Awantipora further said that journalists are real ambassadors of society in all aspects who act as a bridge between Police and society. Media fraternity members also put forth a series of suggestions of public importance and SSP Awantipora assured to take all these on priority.
The Media persons present in the meeting extended their wholehearted cooperation with District Police Awantipora.
In another event held at District Police Lines, SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf facilitated an interaction meet with DDCs & BDCs members Of Police District Awantipora.
The main focus of the interaction was about the security related protocols regarding the visit to their respective DDC constituencies. He also added that District Police Awantipora is committed to provide safety and security of all the members so that they will be able to discharge their duties without any fear on ground.
While appreciating the efforts of Awantipora Police, DDC and BDC members stated that the role of Police is imperative and further added that Awantipora Police has been extending its support to all the members.
On the conclusion, SSP Awantipora assured all the DDCs and BDCs Members that full cooperation will be extended for their smooth functioning and discharging their duties without any fear. All the future safety and security related issues will be dealt with seriously and assured the improvement in the overall security scenario on the basis of future feedback from the members.
Senior officers of Awantipora Police Including Dy. SP DAR were also present on the occasion. The interaction meetings ended with a vote of thanks.
