Four houses gutted in Sopore, six families rendered homeless

BARAMULLA: Four residential houses gutted in a fire incident in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday morning and rendered six families homeless.
Locals said that fire broke out in a house in the wee hours of Saturday in Maharajpura locality in Sopore town and it engulfed three more houses before fire tenders controlled the fire. They said that six families living in the four houses rendered homeless. They said that teams of police and fire service department reached the spot and doused the flames with the help of local people in the area.
The victim families were identified as Bilal Ahmad Malla son of Wali Mohammad Malla, Javaid Ahmad Malla, Gulam Nabi Malla sons of Gulam Mohammad Malla, Mohammad Yousuf Malla son of Ali Mohammad Malla, Nazir Ahmad Malla son of Gulam Mohammad Malla, Mohammad Sahban Malla son of Gulam Mohammad Malla.
Later in the morning several officials of district administration and police reached the spot and assured all the victim families for all possible help.
The cause of fire could not be confirmed immediately however Sopore police also started its investigation.
