UDHAMPUR: A day long Kissan mela cum awareness camp was today organized by Agriculture Department Udhampur under Soil Health card component of NMSA 2020-21 here at Panchayat Raang Block Parlidhar of District Udhampur.
Block Development Chairperson Parlidhar, Neelam Devi was the chief guest, while DDC member, Ramnagar Mool Raj and Block Development Officer, Parlidhar Alka Mishra were the guests of honour.
At the outset, Chief Agriculture Officer, Subash Sharma presented welcome address and briefed about the departmental schemes launched by the Government of India.
While addressing the camp, the chief guest lauded the efforts of Agriculture department for organising this awareness camp. She appealed the farmers to come forward and avail the maximum benefits of all the departmental schemes.
During the camp, Drip Irrigation technique was also discussed and demonstrated by the experts of Agriculture department.
Later, the chief guest distributed vegetable seeds and soil health cards among farmers.
The vote of thanks was presented by Raman Gupta.
