PAMPORE: The 29th death anniversary of noted religious scholar Mirwaiz-i-Kashmir, Moulana Muhammad Yaseen Hamdani, was observed on Friday at Khankah Aaliya in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A grand function was organized by Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore at Khankah Aaliya Pampore after Friday prayers.Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore have paid glowing tributes to late Mirwaiz Moulana Mohammad Yaseen Hamdani on his 29th death anniversary.
Prominent religious scholars from different parts of Kashmir paid glowing tributes to Moulana Mohammad Yaseen Hamdani for his unforgettable service to religion.
“The late Mirwaiz-i- Kashmir always strived for peace, brotherhood and equality.” The speakers stressed on the need to follow his path and carry forward his mission.
A special prayer meeting was held at his grave which is located in the premises of holy shrine of Sheikh Sharief-ud-Din (RA) and Khaja Masood Wali (RA) at Namblabal Pampore.
After fateh Khani floral tributes were paid to the late Mirwaiz-i- Kashmir.
“Mirwaiz e Kashmir late Mohammad Yaseen Hamdani was a noted scholar and a prolific orator who was known throughout Kashmir for his sermons. He was unique in his style of giving sermons on Friday congregational and travelled each and every place in Kashmir for spreading the message of Islam,” Peerzada Mohammad Syed Inayati, General Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Jamiat e Hamdaniya, told Kashmir Reader.
Mirwaiz Moulana Riyaz Hamdani, Sadar Jamiat e Hamdaniya Mohammad Yaseen Zehra, Mir Ghulam Mohammad Saqi, members of Asaar Shareef Kalashpora, Rah Baba Sahib Srinagar, Moulana Showkat Ahmad Keng, Secretary general Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore Mohammad Sultan Shah, Vice president Mohammad Shafi Basu, Imam Khankah Aaliya Pampore Farooq Ahmad and others were present here on Friday.
