KATHUA: District administration Kathua is going to organise a mega placement drive for the ITI pass outs.
In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atul Gupta chaired a meeting of the District Skill Committee to review the modalities.
Senior Vice President, CTM Kathua, Deepak Sood, President Industrial Association Kathua and prominent industrialists were also present on the occasion.
The meeting decided to hold the placement drive at Government ITI Kathua, while the ADC called upon the President Industrial Associations Kathua to actively participate and absorb the ITI Pass out candidates with skilled/semiskilled capabilities in local industries.
The ADC directed the officers of stakeholder Departments to set up their stalls and aware youth about various Self Employment Schemes and motivate them to start their units and become entrepreneurs specially, in Agricultural and allied sectors.
He also directed the Lead bank Manager also to set up stalls and aware people about hassle free loan schemes available to youth of District through different Banks. He further called upon participating departments and industrialists to work in close coordination to make this Placement fair a grand success.
The suggestions from industrialists and participating departments were also discussed at length.
Superintendent ITI Kathua; Er. Naresh Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh; Assistant Director Employment & Counselling Centre; District Officer JKEDI; Assistant Labour Commissioner and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
