ADDC Pulwama holds meeting in Pampore for preservation of water bodies

PAMPORE: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama Shabir Ahmad Raina on Monday held a meeting in Saffron town Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district for conservation of various water bodies.
The meeting was held with officials of Auditor General (AG) under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama Shabir Ahmad Raina at Tehsil office Pampore, officials told Kashmir Reader.
While talking to Kashmir Reader Shabir Ahmad Raina said that there are six water bodies, four in Pampore, one in Kakapora and one in Awantipora. The details of these water bodies was provided to officials of Auditor General (AG) office along with their present status.
“ The water bodies were geo-tagged so that they are projected for conservation,” Raina said, adding that they were not getting attention from concerned quarters. He added that they discussed various things for their development and preservation for future generation and steps to be taken for removing encroachments.
Besides officials of Auditor General (AG) office, Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din, was also present in the meeting.
