Rahi Nisar elected president media association Pattan

Baramulla: Senior journalists Rahi Nisar Ahmad has been elected president media association Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Under the banner of Baramulla Working Journalist Association (BWJA) elections were held for the Media Association Pattan (MAP), inwhich senior journalist Rahi Nisar elected as president, Saleem Farooq as chairman, Mohammad Latief Bhat as chief patron and Muneer Hussain Hurrah as vice president of the association. Sami Ullah as chief organiser, Irfan Tilgami as general secretary, Aafaq Kirmani as advisor, Yaseen Shahbaz as advisor to chairman, and Mohsin Khan as spokesperson of MAP.
The election process and declaration of results were conducted and observed by senior journalists of north Kashmir and Chairman BWJA Haji Karamat Qayoom and senior journalist Gulzar Ahmad. The entire process was held under the supervision of adminstrative officials of sub division Pattan.
Speaking on the ocassion, Chairman BWJA Karamat Qayoom said that Journalism a noble profession and every journalist should work honestly to make the fourth estate strong and uphold its dignity.
“We will issue identity cards to members of MAP under BWJA very soon, so that officials will recognise them easily during any event,” Karamat Qayoom said. Adding that the journalists of said body will also be covered under life insurance.
SDM Pattan, SDPO Pattan, Tehsildar Pattan, Tehsildar Singhpora, Principal ITI, president traders association Pattan and various dignitries was present on the Occassion.
The people in large including officers of district administration, police and several social organisations congrats Mr Rahi who was elected as president of MAP.
