JAMMU: A health checkup camp for children was today organised by ICDS Department here at Panchayat Ghar Dhateryal. General health check up of 31 children was conducted by Dr. Rimpee and Dr. Bushra alongwith identification of SAM(Severely Acute Malnourished) and MAM( Moderately Acute Malnourished) children.
Awareness was imparted to the parents and lactating mothers regarding right nutrition, balanced diet, prevention of anemia and maintenance of personal hygiene. The camp was followed by adoption of three identified SAM children by Dr. Sakshi Mahajan(CDPO Marh), Seema Raj (Supervisor) and Dr. Rimpee as Nutrition Guardians of respective children .
