Baramulla: The sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Uri along with his security personnel had a miraculous escape after shooting stones hit the road in border town Uri Saturday afternoon.
Officials said that SDM Uri Riyaz Ahmad Malik was on way to Boniyar Tehsil of sub division along with his security personals in his official SUV vehicle bearing registration number JKO5H-2000 and shooting stones from nearby mountains hits the road few inches far from the vehicle near Bandi area, however no one was hurt in the incident.
Soon after the incident the SDM Uri appealed to people not to travel unnecessary on the road and drivers should be more careful, he confirmed that he and his security personnel are safe.
