SKUAST VC inaugurates skill development programme on ‘Poultry Farming’

Srinagar: SKUAST VC Kashmir on Wednesday inaugurated 7 days skill development programme on ‘ Poultry Farming’ at Directorate of Extension, Shalimar.
The programme is conducted under skill training for rural youth (STRY) in collaboration with SAMETI-j&K and MANAGE- Hyderabad. The training is aimed to acquaint rural youth in poultry farming and it’s promotion.
In the programme, 15 rural youth from different districts of Kashmir have registered for the course.
Prof Masood Saleem Mir, Associate Director Animal Science briefed the participants regarding the training programme.
Prof Mushtaq Ahmad, Vice-chancellor while addressing the programme highlighted the role of SKUAST Kashmir in general and Directorte of Extension in particular in promoting the skills among rural youth and appreciated Dr Farhanaz Rasool, Deputy Director Trainings and her team for their efforts in this direction.
Scientists from the Directorate also participated in the inaugural function.
