Safe drive, save life: Road safety rallies held in Pampore, Awantipora, Tral

Pampore: In an ongoing “National Road Safety Month- 18 Jan to 17 Feb 2021” Awantipora District Police on Tuesday held road rallies at Pampore, Awantipora and Tral to aware general public and road users about road safety measures in which SDPO Awantipora Aijaz Ahmad Choudhary, SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad and SDPO Tral Ajaz Ahmad along with respective SHO’s were participated.
In order to mark the 32nd National Road Safety Month, SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad along with SHO Manzoor Ahmad on Tuesday flagged off a road safety awareness rally in Saffron town Pampore.
The rally started from Police Station Pampore to Tanchibagh in which scores of school children, drivers, members of transport Union Pampore, respectable citizens and Youth of Pampore participated.
Speaking on the occasion the SDPO Imtiyaz Ahmad exhorted upon the participants to wear helmets and seat belts as a safety measure and follow traffic rules strictly.
The SDPO urged the drivers, people to follow the traffic norms in order to make the Saffron town roads safe for commuters.
On this occasion SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad Congratulated all the students for participating in the rally and wished them a bright future.
Meanwhile, In Tral, a rally started from bus stand Tral to Abgar Tral in which school children, members of citizen council of Tral, drivers etc. participated. Similarly in Awantipora the rally started from Police Station Awantipora which crossed different areas of Awantipora and concluded at Kharmood Awantipora in which students of different Institutions, respectable citizens of Awantipora area including members of Transport Union Awantipora participated.
Participants in rallies were holding banners and placards in their hands depicting the road safety tips/rules for the awareness of the general public and to save precious lives from traffic road deaths.
