Srinagar: The unemployed youths who have completed their degrees in Physical education subjects on Tuesday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the government for the implementation of 2nd Phase policy of the Rehber –e- Khel in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Scores of the unemployed degrees holders from various districts of the Kashmir valley assembled here in press enclave under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir UT Unemployed Physical Education and Sports Association and chanting slogans “ we want Justice”, “ we want implementation of 2nd phase of Rehber-e- Khel”, “Save our Future,” and “ Release the second phase of Rehber-e- Khel”.
Nusrat Wani, one of the unemployed Physical education candidates from Srinagar said that in year 2017 year the government of Jammu and Kashmir has promised us, the 7311 posts of the Rehbar-e- Khel will be implemented in the two phases in Jammu and Kashmir.
“In the year 2017, the first phase was started in which nearly 3,000 were selected per the policy of the Rehber-e- Khel ,” She said.
She said that after the first of the Rehber-e-Khel was implemented in 2017. But three years have passed since the 2nd phase of the Rehber-e-Khel has not been implemented in Jammu and Kashmir yet.
“The most of the unemployed candidates are well qualified having degrees like Bachelors in Physical education, Master in Physical education, M Phil and P.hd . These candidates are waiting for more three for the implementation of the 2nd phase of the Rehbar-e- Kheel policy .
The protesting unemployed youths said that most of the degree holders are going to cross the age limit. if the second phase of the Rehber-e-Khel policy will be not implemented upon immediate basis, they will not be able to apply for the posts due to the age criteria.
The protesting unemployed youths also requested the Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir to look into the matter for the implementation of 2nd phase of Rehber-e- Khel in Jammu and Kashmir.
