Kupwara: A thief was caught in Ganipora market of north Kashmir’s Kupwara when he entered a provisional store and was stealing goods from it. Locals said that they observed some movement in the market on Sunday evening and a joint chase was started, in the midnight a thief entered inside a provisional store and was stealing goods from it, however vigilant people caught him red handed and later handed over to police.
The thief was later identified as Bilal Ahmad Khan son of Gulam Mohammad Khan a resident of Halmatpora Kupwara.
The thief, according to locals, was acting as a soldier. An investigation has been started.
