Three houses, dental clinic gutted in fire incident in Tangmarg

BARAMULLA: Three residential houses, two cow sheds and a dental clinic were completely gutted in a fire incident in Chandilora village of Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday night.
Official sources said that fire broke out from a residential house Thursday late night and it also engulfed two more houses and a mini dental clinic in the village.
They said that fire tenders from Tangmarg, locals and Tangmarg policemen doused the flames and saved the other properties, however three houses, two cow sheds and mini dental clinic was completely damaged in the incident and property worth lakhs of rupees reduced into ashes.
The victim families were identified as Gulam Rasool Hajam, Bashir Ahmad Hajam, Mohammad Yousuf Ganie and Dr Javid Ahmad whose clinic was also damaged in the fire. The sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Gulmarg Shabir ul Hassan also visited the spot on Friday morning and monitored the arrangements made by the affected families. He assured all the victims that the administration will take all the possible steps for rehabilitation of the victim families who lost their properties in the mishap.
