SRINAGAR: Acting tough against the drug dealings, Police have arrested three lady drug peddlers in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
Officers while patrolling in Bus stand area of Qazigund Kulgam intercepted three suspicious ladies all residents of Cheema Wadi Amritsar, Punjab. During checking, officers were able to recover 25kgs of poppy straw from their possession. They have been arrested and a case FIR No. 326/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Qazigund. Further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
