Kupwara: A woman was killed while two persons received serious injuries in a road accident in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
Officials said that a private car bearing registration number JK09B-3517 skidded off from the road on Tuesday morning near JNV Potushie Kupwara, resulting the injury of three people, the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment in which one lady identified as Zoona Begum wife of Abdul Khaliq Khan died while as injured are under doctors treatment. It is said that the car skidded off due to the recent light snowfall and the driver of the car lost his control on the car due to the car going down into a deep gorge.
Kupwara police registered a case and start its investigation.
