SRINAGAR: Yattu Mohalla FC in a one-sided affair beat Polo Ground XI by 3-1 goals in the summit clash of 8-a side football tournament played at Shivpora on Sunday.
YMFC took the lead in the 15th minute of the first half of the match when striker from YMFC with a fine shoot put the ball in the net and hardly provided any chance to Polo Ground goalkeeper to react.
YMFC dominated the first half and have maximum ball possession as they created several opportunities to increase their lead as they missed many chances.
In the second half YMFC scored two more goals. Polo Ground XI made several moves to score and tasted success in the 10th minute of second half. After scoring their first goal PGFC made several attempts from both the flanks but failed to penetrate the strong defence of YMFC team.
The scoreline remained 3-1 in favour of YMFC when the final whistle blew.
A total of 25 teams took part in the tournament
The Sunday’s game witnessed a decent crowd.
