Several shops looted in Handwara, police register case

Baramulla: Many shops were looted by unknown thieves in Kralgund area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday night.
Locals said in the morning when shopkeepers reached the main market Kralgund Handwara to open their shops, however some six shopkeepers were astonished when they found locks of their shops broken and shops looted.
They said the burglars have stolen cash and valuable items from the readymade garment, bakery, dry fruit and from other shops belonging to Javid Iqbal, Ashiq Hussain, Tanvir Ahmed, Tahir Ahmed.
Meanwhile, Handwara police registered a case and started the investigation, a police officer reached the spot and assured all the shopkeepers that they will take this case on priority bases and will arrest the burglars very soon.
