Police hold meetings with Imams, religious heads in Pampore, Awantipora, Tral

Awantipora: Public meetings were held on Wednesday in Police Station Pampore, Awantipora and Tral area of district police Awantipora.
The meetings were attended by the respectable citizens, local Imams, religious leaders and Awqaf members, besides people from different walks of life also participated in the meetings.
The meetings were chaired by concerned SDPOs and SHOs.
During meeting various issues related to traffic Jamming, exorbitant fare charged by transporters to the passengers and maintaining public order were discussed. Locals were emphasized by police to cooperate with the police in maintaining peace and public order.
In Pampore, police organized a police public meeting which was held at Police station Pampore. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Imtiyaz Ahmad.
Dozens of people including local Imams, religious leaders and other respectable citizens participated in the meeting.
The participants raised various issues during the meeting. The chairing officer SDPO Pampore Imtiyaz Ahmad assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to police will be resolved on priority basis and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
SHO Pampore Manzoor Ahmad and other officers were among others who were present in the meeting.
The participants appreciated the role of police for the actions against drug peddlers and poppy cultivators in the police district Awantipora.They also assured their full support and cooperation.
The meetings concluded with a vote of thanks.
