BARAMULLA: The body of a local person who is said to be a hunter was recovered in Alambal area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday morning.
Official sources said that some people spotted a dead body in the Alambal area of Pattan on Saturday morning and they informed Pattan police.
They said a team of Pattan police reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital for identification and examination.
The deceased was later identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar son of Gulam Hasan Dar of Cheenabal Pattan and he was said to be a hunter.
As per initial enquiry, it has surfaced that Ajaz went hunting in nearby wetlands and he received a shot from his own 12 bore rifle accidentally and died. However Pattan police registered a case under relevant sections of law and start its further investigation.
