JKP on forefront to provide platform to youth to showcase their skills: DGP

SRINAGAR: Force Green beat Budgam Reds by seven wickets in the final of Police T-20 Cricket Tournament played at Budgam on Thursday.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the tournament Director-General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh said that the primary aim of organising various youth-oriented sports activities are to provide a platform to the budding talent and a chance to the youth to participate in positive activities which were affected by the COVID-19.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is on the forefront to provide opportunities to the youth to showcase their skills.
The DGP said that out of these tournaments we are looking forward to making one specialized team that will be provided support to represent Kashmir at the national level.

SP Budgam Amod Nagpure while speaking on the occasion threw light on the initiatives taken by Budgam police for the youth-oriented activities and community-based programmes. He thanked DGP for gracing the closing ceremony and providing support for encouraging the youth of the district.
The tournament was organized by J&K Police under its Civil Action Programme in which eighteen teams from across the Budgam District participated and was inaugurated by the DGP J&K on 12 October.
