Jammu: Police have recovered 3.2 kg of heroin worth over Rs 2 crore in border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.
On receiving specific information about the dealing of narcotics in the Basooni area, a police team launched searches in the area, they said.
During search, they recovered heroin containing three packets weighing 3.2 kg, the officials said.
A case was registered at a police station in Mendhar in this regard and an investigation is underway, they said.
People of the area have appreciated the role of police in trying to curb the menace which spoils the youth of the area
