SRINAGAR: An was held today on Monday in the Conference Hall of the GDC Women Pulwama. The meeting was presided over by the Principal, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Lone. He highlighted the role of Alumni and stressed the importance of having Alumni Association in a Higher Education Institution.
Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Bund (Assistant Professor, Social Work) briefed the Alumni participants about the bye-laws and the rights and duties of the Association. In his speech, he laid stress on the role the Alumni Association plays in bridging the gap between college and society. Dr. Abdul Qayoom Mir (Sr. Assistant Professor, Environmental Science) highlighted the role and importance of Alumni Association. He also had interaction with the Alumni members and stressed that more and more pass-outs should get connected with their College. He also pointed out the being Alumni of this College, the pass-out students can benefit from the College Library, Internet facility, and other services.
Other faculty members who were present in the meeting included Prof. Nazneen Jan, Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Parray, Prof. Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh, Dr. Tariq Ahmad Dar, Dr. Satinder Singh, and Prof. Jawed Ahmed Teli. The meeting concluded with formal vote of thanks which was proposed by Dr Aijaz Ahmad.
