SRINAGAR: Under Government initiative of “My Town my Pride programme” to reach out the people to listen and address their grievances, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director Horticulture Kashmir Monday called a public meeting early hours at Budgam where public issues heard.
Chief Horticulture officer Budgam, Executive officer Town Area, Naib Tehsildar, Councilors and all line Departments attended the meeting. Matter concerning the welfare of general public were discussed and many issues put forth by the public like drinking water , repairing of roads, power issues, School Education issues, dearth of staff etc , the Director Horticulture assured the public for taking up the issues for redressal with the higher authorities.
Director Horticulture assured the people that in Horticulture every effort will be done and also to guide and provide necessary support and guidance in this sector particularly in high density plantation and nursery development. During the event various horticulture tools and machinery items, wheel chairs were distributed among the public. He also distributed stationary items in large number of school children’s in the event.
Later Director Horticulture inaugurated Sports activities, Boys higher Secondary School, Sub District Hospital as well as 25KVA DG set in Beerwa Budgam
