Class 11 students stage protest, seek promotion to next class

BARAMULLA: A group of students including boys and girls staged a protest outside the sub office of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The protesting student’s want the board to immediately consider promoting them to class 12th.
They said that from March 2020, all the education institutions are off due to the current pandemic and they are students said the mass promotion is the only solution for their problems.
“From March 2020 all the schools and other educational institutions are off, the teachers got their salaries but there are only students who lost their session, if the board will conduct our exams then they should slash 50 percent of the syllabus, otherwise students are not in position to appear in the exams.
“There is also an option of announcing our mass promotion so that we can join the next class without delay” Ajaz Ahmad a protester said.
They appealed BOSE to announce mass promotions and start a new session so that the students can be engaged in academic activities.
