SRINAGAR: The apirtants of the Fire and Emergency Services department who have appeared in the exams for the post of firemen and driver on Wednesday held a massive protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the intervention of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir into the final selection list of the recruitment process completed by the department.
The protesting aspiratants from the various districts of the Kashmir valley assembled here in a press enclave and chanted the slogans in favour of their demands.

Mohammad Shafi, one of the protesting aspiratant from Budgam district said the department has advertised the posts for the firemen and drivers in 2013. In which the youths from the ers while state have applied for the posts in the department.
” During the recruitment process the department has conducted three exams for the same posts of those aspirants who have already applied for the posts in year 2013,” He said
“During the third time the exams were conducted by the department on 20th September 2020 and results were declared 03 October due to which aspiratants have been shocked to see that only 10th pass and 8th pass aspiratants have been selected for the posts. However, the qualified youths have been dropped from the final selection list,” Shafi said
He said We have proper evidence which shows that there is proper scam in the final selection of the recruitment process. It is not possible the low qualified aspirants can score high marks in the exams and higher qualified aspiratants will score low marks in the exams.
