Bandipora :Bandipora police continuing its drive against drug dealings and to root out the menace of drugs arrested a drug peddler in Ajas.
Acting on a reliable information police party of police post Ajas led by I/C PP Ajas Insp.Qaiser Bashir along with SHO -PS Sumbal Inspector Muneeb ul Islam, arrested one person namely Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat R/o Malpora S.K Bala Sumbal during a Naka near Chewa Ajas and recovered 24 Bottles of psychotropic substance Codeine Phosphate from his possession.
In this connection Case FIR No.144 /2020 under relevant sections of NDPS act has been registered at Police Station Sumbal and further investigation taken up.
